Crafty Friends Challenge #162

December already that means the year is almost over, but there is still time for a last challenge of the year and this challenge is Traditional Christmas Colours.

For this I made a stitched card I the colours red, green and gold which I decorated with a traditional cottage cutz die cut.

What will you come up with? We would love to see your creation in this theme, so pop over to the Crafty Friends challenge blog and join in.

I also want to enter this as the last card in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place, as this shows perfectly the last topic: What I love: stitching.

Z for zigzag

The final letter of the alphabet the Z. I meant to do zigzag, but it looks more like only zig (or zag)...At least it is my final card for this year's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

The image is from Beccy's Christmas Cardinals.

Y for Year

What to do with the Y this year...well why not use Year for this card for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

The cute image is Beccy's Milton catching snowflakes

X for Xmas

The X is always very difficult and I turned to the most easy solution: Xmas for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

W for Winter

Winter is approaching in Europe, so this is the perfect W for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

Let's hope we will get a bit of snow this year so we can enjoy some beautiful snowy landscapes.

V for Vellum

Vellum is great to use in combination with embossing and of course it's the V for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

The Snowman is from freebie from Beccy

U for Under the Stars

Not under the mistletoe or under the tree, but under the stars for the U in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

The Panda from Beccy's Bear Hugs is doing his best to reach for the stars.

S for Stripes

What to do for the S in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place, I could use Santa or a snowman but the striped paper is really calling out to me.

The image is Beccy's Merle

R for red or reindeer

The R is not a difficult challenge in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place.with the colour red for Christmas, but I also added an exhausted reindeer from Beccy's Dasher and Dancer

Q for quiet

Oh boy we came to the Q again. Last year I used quilt but I don't want to do that again. Well the text in Beccy's Christmas Goose showed perfect for this card.

This means the Q stands for quiet in this years Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place.

P for Polar bear

What to use for the P in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place, I already used so many penguins....Well why not a polar bear!

O for Oval

At first I thought to use an owl for the O but I ended up using the cute kangaroo from Beccy's Aussie Christmas so the O is for oval in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

N for Naughty

I could not resist to use the N for naughty in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place

The fun image is Beccy's Grumpy Goose

M for Merry

The M in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place stands for Merry. It was a good opportunity to use some left-over scraps. The image is Beccy's Finn's scarf.

L for Lights

Christmas time is not complete without lights, so this is my L in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place.

The image is on Beccy's Aussie Christmas

J for Joy

Today also a second card for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place.

For the J I choose Joy with an embossed background and one of Beccy's cute snowmen

I for Ink

The I for Ink. in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place.

I started with just a smear of ink on a white square card. With Beccy's Finn's Bell stamp set this is the result:

D for Die cut

My D in the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place stands for die cut. The sentiment image is the With Love at Christmas Banner Colour from Beccy.

Let's see how far I can get in playing along with the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's place as I hardly made cards this year.

For the B I made a card using the beautiful Silver Bell from Beccy's Place.

Crafty Friends Challenge #160

Another month, another challenge. This month's theme is Use more than one die

With all the different beautiful dies out there this should not be very difficult. I created an Easel card.

For this card I used 3 different dies and a punch :-)

This month the challenge theme is Fairies & Fantasy.

Crafty Friends Challenge #158

Time for a new challenge and this month's theme is Summer colours.

For this challenge I created a book card but with chocolate in the book, that way it makes a perfect small gift.

The fun image is from Bugaboo stamps, they unfortunately stopped the shop but luckily the images can still be used.

For reference here an image of summer colours to help you in this challenge.

Half way the year already. This month the challenge theme is Embossing (wet or dry). This challenge was a great opportunity to get my stamping supplies out of storage, I did not se them for a long time.

This means I chose the wet embossing for a change. I have to say that colouring within the lines is much easier when you have embossed the image, also I think the lines look better with the embossing. I chose to use brown and not black to make the lines softer but clearer.

Now the choice is yours, wet or dry?

We would love to see your creation in this theme, so pop over to the Crafty Friends challenge blog and join in.

Crafty Friends Challenge #156

Time flies, it's already time for a new challenge. This month the challenge theme is  Men and/or Boys. A good reason to play along with a card for Father day...

After a long break from card making, life was in the way, not only I am back to crafting, but also the Crafty Friends challenge blog is back.

We now have monthly challenges that start on the first of each month and we would love for you to play along.

This month we start with an easy theme: Flowers.

For my card I decided to not use an image with flowers but beautiful paper flowers from Wild Orchid.
