Sketch Saturday #73

And the second challenge card I made today. This time a sketch from sketch saturday that I immediately fell in love with.

Mojo Monday #108

This card I made with the Mojo Monday sketch #108. It's a nice simple layout.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

This card I made for the Whiff of Joy challenge. The sketch was with an oval, but because I am not very good in cutting ovals, I made my card with a circle. Hope you like it.

Scrap card

Needed materials:

  • White Card Stock 27 x 13.5 cm
  • White Card Stock 15 x 5 cm
  • Scrap Paper with circles 13 x 13 cm (2x)
  • Scrap Paper with flowers 13 x 13 cm and 7 x 4.5 cm
  • Stamp Prints
  • Ribbon
  • Flowers
  • Brad
  • Embellishments
  • Velcro
  • Foam tape
  • Double sided tape
Instructions:

  1. Fold the white card stock (27 x 13.5) in half so you get a double card measuring 13.5 x 13.5 cm. Open the card up and on the right side put a mark at the centre on the edge of the card.

  2. Cut from the top left (at the fold) to the centre mark on the edge then cut from the bottom left (at the fold) to the centre mark forming a triangle. The back of the card remains untouched.

  3. Take the 2 pieces of scrap paper (13 x 13 cm) with the same pattern and mark the middle on one side of both papers. Now cut from the corner to the middle of the horizontal side, as you did with the white cardstock. (see 2)

  4. Fold the white cardstock (15 x 5 cm) in half to create a small double card measuring 7.5 x 5 cm.

  5. Open the large card with the triangle positioned to the left. Secure the small card inside the large one (with double sided tape), so that it is roughly in the middle and with its fold line to the outside edge of your main card.

  6. Now start with the finishing. Attach the flower(s) with a brad to the small piece of scrap paper (7 x 4.5 cm). Glue the scrap paper on the outside top of the small white card which forms the closing flap.

  7. Paste the triangles on both sides of the white cardstock triangle.

  8. Attach the ribbon onto the scrap paper (13 x 13 cm) before it is attached to the inside of the card. Please note that the base section of the small card is covered by the scrap paper, the top flap with the flower stays above the scrap paper.

  9. Paste a piece of Velcro on the back of the loose flap. Close the card with the triangle under this flap, and position your other piece of Velcro on the triangle so it lines up with the other piece (on the inside of the flap).

  10. Finish the card with stamp prints and embellishments

Swap card

This covercard I made for a swap. The cover is stamped and then embossed with powder. The background of the card is made with a cuttlebug embossing stencil.
